    School Safety ResponsibilityHelp Keep our Students and Staff Safe

    Please adhere to all vehicle code and traffic regulations. Maximum speed limit in a school zone is 25mph. Violators are subject to citation by local law enforcement.

    1. Be aware of your surroundings in school zones.
    2. Reduce your speed when traveling through school zones.
    3. Expect increased traffic in and around school zones.
    4. Be aware of an unusually high concentration of pedestrian crosswalks in school zones.
    5. Be on the lookout for students crossing the street. They may be in "blind spots".
    6. Follow all posted signage.

    Safe School

    • When driving within 500 to 1,000 feet of a school while students are outside or crossing the street, the speed limit is 25 mph unless otherwise posted. During school hours and/or when students are outside, never drive faster than 25 mph. 
    • Students crossing the street or entering the school may be in "blind spots" due to vehicles, busses, or traffic. Be aware of your surroundings. Help keep our students safe,
    • To ensure all students are safe before, during, and after school, please adhere to all California Vehicle Code Laws. Violators are subject to citation by law enforcement.

    Warrior Families,

    It is my pleasure to welcome you to La Puente High School! We are proud of our many accomplishments including: being ranked again as one of the Best High Schools in the nation by U.S. News and World Report, recipients of the 2022 Civic Learning Award (The Spirit of Liberty Award: Equity and Inclusion), recipients of the State of California Pivotal Practice Award, and numerous recognitions for our partnership with the community.
     
    Some signature programs include our national champion Cheer & Dance team, an award winning band, the only JROTC program in the district, and CTE Pathways in Robotics & Engineering, Business & Industry, and Law Enforcement which culminates with Dispatching Certification.
     
    We are excited to announce that C-STEM, Art History, Music Appreciation, and various other electives have been added to our course selections and will be open to all students this school year.
     
    The staff and students at LPHS are proud to carry on the traditions of our school and the City of La Puente. Here, we adhere to the words of John F. Kennedy as  "we celebrate the past to awaken the future"!
